Material Storage
Our state of the art automated material storage units are at the core of our fabrication and scrap reduction processes. The robotic system receives detailed direction from a trained Danco operator, and then proceeds to find the right material required for the job. The sensors scan the material to ensure that the material type, gauge and sheet size meets the project specifications before loading on the material bed. The bed runs on a track to the punching or laser cutting machines and continuously feeds the material onto the machine the instant the machine is ready. The material storage is a tower system built specifically for ease of expansion. As our customer’s needs grow, so too can our material storage units. The automated system sets the stage for project accuracy, efficiency, quality and procedural documentation.
Punching - Finn-Power F5
- Finn-Power 5
- Finn-Power 5 Standalone
- Finn-Shear Genius
The Finn-Power F5 offers the very latest in high-tech punching. The high production capacity and minimal set-up time provides outstanding productivity to meet today's need for fast-paced and versatile manufacturing methods and is especially beneficial on long production projects. The Finn’s efficiency is a key contributor in our constant production capability refinement.
We can easily combine like gauge parts and pull them off the same sheet of material. Most importantly, we're very excited about the fact that the Finn allows us to serve you better.
- 33-ton Finn Power #F5-25
- Automatic loading & unloading
- 50" x 100" w/auto – repositioning
- 7 auto-index stations
- 3 multi-tool stations: 1 – 24 tools, 2 – 10 tools/each
In addition, we utilize the Finn-POWER 5 Standalone unit which provides flexibility for projects requiring shorter runs. The POWER 5 serves as a quick solution for last minute needs and quick turnaround projects.
The Finn-Shear Genius punches and cuts and provides a third opportunity to streamline project production. The beauty of the Finn is flexibility and it’s automatic ability to reroute scrap to its own bin, further enhancing our scrap reduction program.
Laser Cutting
Danco’s laser cutting capabilities offer another major component to our turnkey capabilities. Our laser cutting equipment includes the Trumph TRULASER 5040, which is the most technologically advanced laser machine on the market. The TRULASER 5040 is quick and precise and can hold to 80” x 160” material up to ¾” thick.
To improve our flexibility and production time, we also employ the Trumph TRUMATIC L3030. The TRUMATIC handles 60” x 120” material up to ½” thick, has a smaller footprint and requires no dies, yet offers the same cutting power of the TRULASER. Danco boasts the only manufacturing facility in our region to offer both the TRULASER AND TRUMATIC under one roof.
Forming
Danco’s RAS Bending Center, the MULTI BEND, is one of the fastest and most accurate bending systems available. Requiring only a single operator, the MULTI BEND ensures the right size and guage material is loaded, and checks the feed orientation for accuracy. The machine can handle material up to 11 GA, and automatically changes tooling according to the specs loaded into its software program. The MULTI BEND forms panels faster and more precisely than any human could produce, further streamlining production times.
Additionally, Danco works with single bend machines for flexibility in less complicated requirements. The machines include:
- CNC folding system #74.30 – Hydraulic Capacity – 126"
x 9 guage 9000 series CNC control
- CNC folding system #73.30 Flexible Electric Capacity
– 126" x 11 gauge Multibend 5000 CNC control
- Two Press Brakes
Insert
- Haeger – Hydraulic squeeze machine #HP6-B 6-ton capacity; Auto-feed capability
- 618 PLUS
- 824 Window Touch
- Hager Insert Machine
- 2 Auto-Serts
Our 5 insert machines, 3 of which are automated, allow us to quickly and easily install PEM and other specialized fasteners.
Machining
Danco further enhances project flexibility through our machining department. Our largest machining capacity is made possible through our DMC 3100H, which literally enables us to perform anything in-house. The open nature allows us to adapt to any machining requirements with very little lead time. In addition, our customers benefit from two additional machines, the JOHNFORD SV-40s, which provide us with options to match the right machine with the project to produce the best possible end results with the quickest turnaround.
Finishing
Our goal in finishing is to create aesthetic perfection through our acute attention to detail. Danco offers a variety of industry-leading finishing equipment to help us meet and exceed customer expectations.

Powder Coating
Danco operates 4 powder lines with capabilities and capacities for small, large, light and heavy parts.
Danco Metal Products is recognized for its innovative manufacturing processes. Among its state-of-the-art systems is Danco’s high-speed, high-quality powder coating operation. This hybrid system achieves a wide range of product finishes, glosses, textures and colors, with excellent coverage and efficiency.
Danco’s expansive production line can accommodate products up to 144 inches in length, offering the most versatile powder coating process available. Further, this system is as flexible as quick. When compared to a traditional wet paint line, Danco Metal Products’ powder finishing cuts processing time by up to 200 percent.
Danco’s 4 separate Nordson powder lines boast an 8-stage washing system, ensuring the best possible surface treatments to enable excellent coverage for every project. Our largest line contains the following stages:
- Alkaline Wash
- Rinse
- Heated Laser Scale Wash
- Rinse
- Halo Rinse
- Conversion Coating
- Halo Rinse

Both the large and small lines contain 2 Infrared ovens. For extremely large and heavy pieces, Danco utilizes powder lines with 2 bake ovens. The Nordson Pot line allows for easy changing of pots and provides flexibility and fast setup for immediate needs.
Quality Control
Danco’s superior quality control processes ensure that every detail in production is documented, and checked for accuracy. To ensure smooth and predictable production, Danco utilizes Portage, Faro Arm and Fabrivision, the strength of 3 pre-production check-points to ensure a successful end result.
- Portage – Layout machine #48A
- Retrofitted with “ACU-RITE III” D.R.O.
- X – 125” max.
- Y – 48” max.
- Z – 38” max.
- Faro Arm and Fabrivision – The Faro Arm and Fabrivision provide precise measurements stemming from a comparison of the DXF file and the actual part, confirming setup, the use of dies, and cut size.
