Company History
Danco Metal Products, Inc. is a closely held corporation established in 1941 by George Danielson. George had a vision for a streamlined process in the fabrication of portable x-ray equipment. With the assistance of his four sons and a few specialized colleagues, Danco began and sixty-nine years later, is still a leader in fabrication for the medical industry. George’s original process is still unmatched by any competitor, evidenced by nearly 70 years of prominent service with our original medical customer. Since the company’s inception, our staff of experts continues to improve techniques and bring to market cutting-edge examples of fabrication excellence. Our specialized trained personnel excel in the production of a wide variety of medical fabrications and have produced an array of products from large construction equipment housings, to parts for NASA's Apollo Space Program.
As Danco grows, so does our involvement with new manufacturing techniques. We continuously examine our processes and strive for innovative techniques that improve fabrication and product excellence. We utilize the latest CAD/CAM computer controlled CNC equipment and the most advanced material handling, punching, laser cutting, multi-bending, robotic welding and computerized powder coating equipment available on the market. With a keen awareness for our customers needs, we continue to offer superior parts, on-time delivery, and provide unparalleled service. We apply a personalized service to meet the specific needs of our customers in every project. As a valued customer, your vision becomes our reality.
Our digital documentation process keeps projects on track, on budget and delivered on-time. In any stage of production, we know exactly where a part is on the line and whose hands it is in. We employ rigorous inspection and quality control measures to ensure that each and every part meets specifications throughout the production process. Our history of on-time, precise product delivery sets us far apart from our competitors. Whether your project is in existence or is a new concept in need of quick deployment, Danco is the partner that helps you achieve even the most difficult goals.
Danco is committed to incorporating short and long-term sustainability plans and deployed energy efficient materials and machines into the building of our new facility. We aim to decrease our overall carbon footprint by utilizing as little power as possible. By streamlining our production processes we decreased the overall runtime for our largest power consumption machines, even with manufacturing orders and sales increases. We recycle the air from our powder coating heaters to heat the entire plant floor, and since our move, we have never run additional heating in the plant. Our paint waste is picked up at Danco’s expense and recycled into powering a kiln. Our scrap recycling program keeps our material cost low while benefiting the environment. In our 69 years of operations, we have experienced no EPA issues. Danco’s attention to environmental detail benefits the earth, Danco and our customers. Our overall sustainability plan helps to keep our overhead low, decreasing our customer’s bottom line.
Our greatest resource is the people of Danco. We are a team of professionals, multi-trained to move to any position in the production process with little or no notice. On average, team members stay with us for a period of 19 years. Since our team shares in the company's profits, there is the added incentive to get each project right the first time. Our company is an extended family and it shows in our history of production excellence.
